Now based out of Montreal, Quebec, modim (Seth Daniel) was a constant presence in California’s late 1990s early rave scene. He co-founded the San Francisco East Bay experimental electronic collective and record label, Lloopkill Audio. Refusing to commit to the conventional norms of electronic sub-genres, Seth brings a unique sonic voice that contains elements of traditional house/breaks that set the stage for glitchy, fragmented melodic layering.
Influenced by everything from hip-hop to synth pop to hard trance to melodic break core, Seth’s all-originals live sets include a variety of BPMs and moods that cut right across a wide spectrum of the sounds that make up today’s contemporary electronic music. Prioritizing experimentation and harmonic content, Seth can usually be found sampling his own melodies, twisting them up, and layering them back on top of the original, often several layers deep, in real time. His latest release is ‘The Vapor Notebook." You can find it on all major streaming platforms.
