Rebel of Sleep (Loris Pondérant) is a DJ/producer from France who began his journey with electronic music production during lockdown at the start of COVID-19. When the world started to slow down, he felt the urge to learn the fundamentals of musical production to express himself through electronic music.

Loris knew immediately that he wouldn’t stick to only one kind of electronic music and would push the boundaries of it. He loves to combine techno’s atmosphere with a bright lead, organic drums, and heady melodies to produce innovative progressive, and melodic house.

On January 2020 his hard work and efforts were recognized with his first release called Nebula on GRF Sound. The track carried a sound that was inspired by a dark night that he did in a club in Anverpen, BL. In another collaboration with his friend and producer, Vinecaise, he released his EP “Loneliness,” on the Uplay Record label. The piece garnished the support of many DJs and music blogs and has already hit over 20,000 plays on Spotify. Shortly thereafter, he was contacted by PRGRSSN Records to release a track on their first “Various Artists Compilation” mixed by the well-known artist Le Youthl. This project resulted in his dance hit “TP253” that he released on August 2021.

Many new projects will come from this upcoming, talented producer from Montréal and you should keep an eye on him and his releases in the near future!
